Happy Opening Day

Hi Granny! Everyone in my house is very happy today. Why? Because it is opening day of baseball and we LOVE baseball. The only problem is that I have to decide which team to throw my support behind. Should I be a Yankees fan?

Or a Mets fan?

I love you, Granny!

Boxes

Hi Granny! Now, I love toys as much as the next kid, but sometimes the best things to play with are things that are hanging around the house. Take this box for example.

My Grammy sent me some adorable socks and it came in this awesome box. It has an equally awesome lid.

I can play with this box for ages. I can close it up.

Then take the lid off. I do it over and over and make my Mom do it too.

I love you, Granny!

More Birthday Fun

Hi Granny! We continued my birthday celebrations at the zoo on Saturday.

I loved looking at all of the animals. I especially liked the giraffes.

I gave Aunt Liz kisses for being so nice and coming with us to the zoo.

Then we went to Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan's house for a birthday party. My friend Grace was there and we had a blast playing with toys.

Then I got to eat another cake that Uncle Ryan made just for me. My own cake!

I love you, Granny!

I Am One Year Old Today

Hi Granny! I am one year old today! Can you even believe it? My Mom and Dad threw me a birthday party at school. It was a lot of fun.

Miss Karen from Kindermusik came and we danced all around the room.

Then we had a nice lunch.

Then everyone sang to me and we had cupcakes baked in ice cream cones. Granny, my Mom told me that you used to make them for my Mom's birthdays. They were delicious!!

I love you, Granny! Happy birthday to me!

Lunch With Tracy

Hi Daddy! Today Mom and I went to one of her favorite restaurants - Brennan's. It made her very happy.

While Mom was obsessing over the food, I was busy opening a present from Tracy's mom. I love it and if she happens to be reading this, it will fit me perfectly.

I also got presents from Tracy! She bought me some refrigerator magnets and a slinky.

She also got me Mrs. Potato Head. We had a blast figuring out where to put the hands and ears and stuff.

I had a great time with Tracy and I'm going to miss her very much.

I love you, Daddy! I miss you and can't wait to give you kisses.

Pizza Face

Hi Daddy! Yesterday Mom and I went to Mimi and Mr. Joe's house for most of the day. Mimi, Bonnie and I played a lot.

Mimi knew how much I miss you, so she showed me a picture from your wedding. I pointed at you and said "Dada." Everyone was really impressed, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal - of COURSE I know who my Daddy is.

I finally got to try this Mighty Taco stuff that Mom is always talking about. Daddy, Mom was right - Mighty Taco is delicious.

Mr. Joe picked up pizza for dinner. I wasn't sure exactly how to eat it, so I just sucked the tomato sauce off the dough. I think that was right.

I got a little messy...

And when I was done, I sure wanted more!

I love you, Daddy!

First Birthday Party

Hi Daddy! Yesterday I had my very first birthday party. I slept through the first two hours of my party, but the rest of it was tons of fun. This is what I woke up to.

Grandpa got me a crown to wear because I was the princess yesterday.

Then everyone sang to me and I got to eat chocolate cake!

And as if that wasn't good enough, there were presents! Lilah helped me out with opening them up. I got such beautiful and thoughtful gifts.

Lilah, Lula and I had lots of fun playing on the ramp.

Then everyone went home and it was time for bed.

I love you, Daddy!

Saturday with the Ladies

Hi Daddy! Yesterday I spent the day with the ladies. Aunt Mira came over and she and Granny baked me a birthday cake! My first one ever!

We had a lot of fun together. We played and read books and snuggled. Aunt Mira even let Mom take a nap (she's a little jet lagged).

I also got to see Tracy! I missed her a lot and was very happy she came to see me.

She brought her niece and nephew with her. We played with the crinkle balls and they tickled my feet.

Today is my cousin Sydney's sweet sixteen! I hope she had a happy birthday.

I love you, Daddy! Today was my first ever birthday party - I'll post all about it tomorrow. I miss you!

Frequent Flyer

Hi Daddy! Granny and I talked and decided that I should use my blog to talk to you until Mom and I come home.

Daddy, the plane ride to Buffalo went really well. I was a very good girl. Well, except for when I disregarded the rules and talked on my cell phone.

I used the trip as an excuse to catch up on some important work.

Guess what, Daddy! When Mom and I got off the airplane, Granny was there at the gate! We were SO surprised and SO happy. And then when we got past the security area, Mimi was there! It was all so much fun and exciting.

Daddy, today is YOUR mom's birthday! Happy birthday to my Grammy! Also, a fun fact - today was my due date. I was almost born on the same day as Grammy!

I love you, Daddy!

Last Day of Kindermusik

Hi Granny! Tuesday was the last day of Kindermusik.

Miss Karen gave us some cool cups, so Hailey and I went over to the chairs to play with them.

Then Hailey, Valerie and I decided to start our own band. We were really good.

I love you, Granny! I can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Good Helper

Hi Granny! When I got home from school yesterday, my Mom had a wonderful treat prepared for me - she had cut up a plum for me to eat!

Since she was so thoughtful, I decided to help her with dinner. I was all ready with my bowl and rubber scraper.

Until I realized the bowl was empty.

Then I decided to just wear it as a hat.

I love you, Granny!

A Great Day

Hi Granny! I had a GREAT day today! My Mom, Dad and I went to Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan's house to hang out for a while. I spent lots of time sitting on Uncle Ryan's lap.

We had a delicious BBQ. I ate a lot - tomatoes, chicken, pasta, beans and hamburger. I felt bad that Punky wasn't allowed to eat with us, so I decided to give her a few bites.

Then I felt like walking, so I went to my Dad and convinced him to help me practice. I feel nice and safe when he is holding on to me - safe enough to walk all around.

Later on, Aunt Liz read lots of books to me. I had to help her with lifting some of the flaps. I'm really good at things like finding baby's bellybutton and figuring out whether the valentine is, indeed, behind the couch.

Before we left, I had a small snack. By small, I mean I ate a whole banana.

I love you, Granny!
