Busy, Busy Week

Hi Granny!  I have been terribly busy since I last posted and am very sorry for the delay.  Since it has been so long, I thought I would show you what I have been up to.

I've been going to Kindermusik and Tiny Tots class.  They are so much fun!  Here I am on the parachute.  Most of the kids were too scared to go on it, but I was very, very brave.

I also went to see my Dad play in a softball game.  Granny, he was the BEST one!  He went three for four and had a home run.  He also had some awesome defensive plays, which are evidenced by the dirt all over his shirt.

We had some guests come to visit, so I thought I would help clean the house up.  I'm VERY good at sweeping, and I don't care what my Mom says - you SHOULD sweep carpet.  Vacuums are overrated and entirely too noisy.

My godparents, Bryan and Liz, came to visit me!  We had a BBQ and had a delightful time catching up. I like them a lot, especially because they were so impressed by all of the words I can say.

Granny, my Nana, Papa and Uncle Brendon came to town!  I just loved waking up in the morning to a house full of people.  Especially people who recognize how cute I am.

I am off on another adventure tonight.  I'm heading to Philadelphia to visit my family.  This is very exciting!  But first I am going to Uncle Ryan's to wish him a very happy birthday.

I love you, Granny!

Lowe's

Hi Granny!  Have you ever been to Lowe's?  Well, if you haven't, I have to tell you that it is one of the coolest places in the world.  It is a great place for a girl like me to figure out how she would like to redecorate her new house.  So, I started with carpets.

Carpet is, obviously, very important.  It has to be just the right softness.

Then I took a look at the shades.  Granny, they were just my size!  Lowe's sure does make it easy for little kids to do their shopping.

The variety of shades was amazing.  So many different types!

Well, I ended up buying a LOT, but I really did need it all.

My Dad and I decided to leave the cart for my Mom to deal with.  He and I had some walking to do.

I love you, Granny!

Happy Father's Day!

Hi Granny!  Yesterday was a day just for my Dad!  I'm really lucky to have him for a dad.  He's my best buddy.  Since he is the best dad in the whole world, I bought him a lot of presents.

He really liked what I got him (floats for our pool).

I got a lot of hugs and kisses.

I love you, Granny!

More Swimming

Hi Granny!  I thought you'd like to see what I do at swim class.  Well, my Dad and I use the noodle.

He dunks me sometimes, but I don't mind.  He always makes sure I'm okay.

We also practice on a kickboard.  I really like using a prop.

But I don't need it for long.  My Dad is pretty good at helping me stay afloat.

I love you, Granny!

Visit From Annie

Hi Granny!  On Sunday I had an awesome surprise.  My Mom, Dad and I went to the airport, and when I got there my friend Annie was there!

She was in California for work, so could only stay for a few hours.  Since the trip was so short, I thought I'd like to go with her.  I even offered to drive.

Unfortunately, my Mom said that she would miss me if I went to Virginia, which is apparently very far away.  She caught me before we could go out the door.

I love you, Granny!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Hi Granny!  Friday was my Dad's birthday.  We love birthdays in this house, so the festivities started on his birthday eve.

My Mom and I gave him a really big present for his birthday.

Then we had MORE cake!  My Dad let me help him blow out the candles.

And even though it was his birthday, he took me to swim lessons.

Yesterday we celebrated with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Liz at Langer's Deli in Los Angeles.

Swimming Lessons

Hi Granny! Did you know that I take swimming lessons? Since we moved and got a pool, my Mom has been a nervous Nellie. So, she signed me up for swim class with my Dad. We go every day for the next two weeks!

I like going with my Dad because he's a lot of fun in the water and keeps me safe.

Class is a lot of fun. We get to play with lots of pool toys.

I even practiced jumping in! Okay, to be honest, my Dad held me. Neither he nor I are ready for me to jump in on my own. Maybe we'll be brave enough before class is over.

I love you, Granny!

My First Birthday Party!

Hi Granny! Yesterday I went to my first ever birthday party. That is, a friend's birthday party (obviously I've been to my OWN birthday party). This one was pretty cool. They had a trampoline in the ground. Even though it was safe, my Mom was too scared and made my Dad take me.

They also had miniature horses and chickens!

I also found a cool toy to push around.

But Valerie is a much better walker than I and took off with it. I handled it very well.

Granny, they even had a Kindermusik class!

Swimming

Hi Granny! Yesterday I finally got to check out my new pool. I've got to tell you, Granny, it is quite a production getting ready to go in. First I need a swimming diaper.

Then it's time for sunscreen.

Followed by putting on my swimsuit/flotation device. It is terribly bulky.

Next I put on my swim shoes.

And once my hat is on, I can FINALLY head to the pool.

But all of the gear makes me a little unstable.

It was all worth it. Swimming was awesome.

I love you, Granny!

Dinner With the Grown Ups

Hi Granny! One of my favorite things to do is go out to dinner with the grown ups and I got to do just that when Kristina and Sean were visiting. And since Kristina finally started sending me pictures, I can tell you all about it.

In fact, here I am with Kristina. One of the best parts about eating out with the grown ups is that I usually get passed around the table.

See! Here I am with Uncle Ryan.

We all posed for a picture after dinner. Doesn't Aunt Liz look like she's trying to taunt a bull?

I love you, Granny!

Chicken Leg

Hi Granny! Last night my Mom gave me my first chicken leg. I wasn't sure if I would like it because my Dad loves chicken legs and my Mom hates them.

Honestly, at first I didn't even know what to do with it.

But once I tasted it, I was hooked. I guess I'm with Dad on this one.

I love you, Granny!
