Long Weekend

Hi Granny!  My Daddy was home for FOUR days in a row!  I love when he doesn't go to work.  We certainly made the most of the weekend.  We played patty cake at the pizza shop.

Hung out with the elephants.

Looked at the tigers.

Bought a new doctor kit.

And took very good care of Marla.

Thankful

Hi Granny!  Do you know what I'm thankful for?  This guy.

And this gal.

And olives that fit on your fingers.

I love you, Granny!

Pie

Hi Granny!  Yesterday was Thanksgiving and we all know Thanksgiving is really all about pie.  My Mom made three - cherry, apple and pumpkin.  Because all of those sounded a bit too not chocolate for my taste, I put in a special request for a chocolate pie.  In my house, if you put in a pie request, you have to help bake it.

I don't mind helping - it can be delicious.

Look, there was nothing wrong with what I was doing.  You have to taste the food to make sure it has a good balance of flavors.

See!  I was helping, too, not just tasting.

Ta da!

New Doggy?

Hi Granny!  We had a special Thanksgiving lunch at school today and my job was to bring the ham.  I don't know if you know this, but ham is really, really heavy.

Once we got there, I hung out with Kyle.  My Mom calls us "partners in crime."  Pfft.  Since when is not listening a crime?

I also spent some time with Jerry.  My Mom says that he has no pain receptors.  My Mom seems to have a lot of opinions about my male friends.  Just because a kid falls repeatedly at the playground and doesn't miss a beat does not mean he is missing pain receptors.  It means he's tough.

I took a break from mingling to take this lovely posed picture in front of this lovely mural.  Actually, Granny, this mural was made when I wasn't at school.  Therefore, I cannot support it.

A few days ago my teachers asked me what made me happy and what I was thankful for.  Here are my answers.

Psst.  I don't have a new doggy.  They should have figured it out when I described him as very large and purple.  Sometimes you just need to mess with people.

Bye, Bye Philly

Hi Granny!  I had a very nice trip visiting with my cousins.  It was great being one of the girls.  Especially when the girls are eating donuts.

But all good things must come to an end.  My Mom, Daddy and I packed up our things and got ready to go.  Of course we couldn't leave without my Mom taking a million pictures of us all together.

I was very excited to get on the airplane.  About 4 hours in, I was going a little crazy.  I started singing Justin Beiber into my microphone.  I'm certain the entire plane really enjoyed my performance.

Here I am with Daddy on the shuttle to our car.  A little weary, but oh so happy to be home.

Please Touch

Hi Granny!  Today I went to the Please Touch Museum with my friend Lily.

Lily and I dished up some water ice to the masses.  Yes, Granny, they call it water ice in Philadelphia.  Ridiculous.  They also wait "on line" for their water ice.

I drove around a SEPTA bus for a bit.

But I decided I was much better suited for a motorcycle.

Then Lily and I took a whirl on the carousal.

Cousins

Hi Granny!  I finally got to see my cousins today.  When we got in last night, Sophie was the only one awake!  We had a fabulous time together.  We colored, played with lots of toys and even played dress up.

When my Daddy was done with work, he came over to Aunt Lynda's house to celebrate Tillie's birthday.  Here he is with Charlie.  Do you see Aunt Lynda with the cake?  I ate a LOT of that cake.

Aunt Candace came, too.  Unfortunately, my Mom did a horrible job taking pictures of the two of us together.  But, together we were.

It was a very long and exciting day, so I was very happy to snuggle with Sophie on the couch before bedtime.

Airplane

Hi Granny!  My Mom, Daddy and I drove to LAX this morning so we could go on an airplane to Philadelphia.  When we got there, we had to take a bus to the terminal.

Once we got to the USAir terminal, we checked our bags and got our tickets.

We ran all around the airport and made lots of nice new friends.  When it was time to board the airplane, I made my way down the jetway.

The airplane was a lot of fun, but we were on it for a very, very long time.  I passed some of the time by watching my programs.

I did a bit of coloring.

When things really started to get boring, I decided to spice things up a little - with stickers!

Napping With Punky

Hi Granny!  My Mom, Daddy and I went to Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan's house to watch football today.  Punky and I got comfortable on the couch and got ready to watch.

Granny, it was bad.  It was so bad that Punky had to hide her eyes.  The Bills and the Giants blew it.

We eventually decided to go to Art's Deli for lunch with Uncle Ryan.

Granny, Uncle Ryan can be a little weird.

Zoozy Zoo Zoo

Hi Granny!  My Mom, Katy and I went to the zoozy zoo zoo today.  We headed straight for the petting zoo.  Katy and I grabbed some brushes and got to work.

Then I brushed Katy a little.

I also made time for an excellent alligator ride.

Pudding

Hi Granny!  Have you ever had pudding?

My Mom let me have some tonight as a treat for getting my flu shot.

I can't get enough of it.

Pardon me while I get back to my pudding now.

I love you, Granny!

Swinging

Hi Granny!  This morning my Mom and I went to the playground.  I love going on the swings the most.  Now I'm close.

Now I'm far away.

Now I'm really far away!

Close!

Far!

I love you, Granny!
