Our Visit: Day One

Hi Granny! I am SO happy you are here with us! My Mom, Uncle Ryan and I were super excited to pick you up. But I have to admit that my Mom was being pretty embarrassing. She kept peeking through the door to see if you were coming. To avoid the embarrassment, I hung out with Uncle Ryan. He is much cooler.

But boy was I happy to see you come through the doors. I loved when Grandpa scooped me out of my Mom's arms. She kept wanting me to pose, but I wasn't into it. I just wanted to play with you and Grandpa.

Here we are posing AGAIN.

But finally I was happily in your arms.

I love you, Granny! I can't wait to play with you all day tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love You, Tomorrow!

Hi Granny! You're only a day away! I can't WAIT to see you and Grandpa!

I am SO much bigger than the last time you saw me. I can't wait to show you all of my new tricks.

I love you, Granny! I'll see you tomorrow!

Felix

Hi Granny! This is my friend Felix.

My Dad named him. I'm pretty sure he is a boy, since I've never heard of a girl named Felix.

Felix and I like to hang out.

Sometimes we roughhouse.

But usually I just like to eat him.

I love you, Granny!

The Bills Lost! Again!

Hi Granny! This morning my Mom, Dad and I went to see my Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan. I kept Uncle Ryan company while he made breakfast.

Then we sat down to watch some football. It was pretty exciting until the refs decided to make some really bad calls.

I get bored by football pretty quickly. Luckily, Aunt Liz was happy to play with me.

Uncle Ryan found me a very fashionable hat to wear. I think it matches my outfit pretty well.

Before my nap, Uncle Ryan and I rested on the blanket you made me.

My Mom, Dad, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liz and I are SO excited for you and Grandpa to visit!!

I love you, Granny!

Butt Paste

Hi Granny! Have you heard of Butt Paste?

It makes my tushie feel good and that makes me happy.

It also tastes good.

Not the paste itself, silly, the container.

Please don't take my Butt Paste.

I love you, Granny!

Good Luck, Katy!

Hi Granny! My friend, Katy, has been visiting me for the past few days.

She left last night to visit New Zealand for a whole year!

My Mom said that it is an adventure of a lifetime and that she hopes that I get to have great adventures. Honestly, wearing Katy's sunglasses was enough of an adventure for me. I'm only 6 months after all.

I hope that Katy has an amazing time and that she knows how much I love her and how proud I am of her.

I love you, Granny!

Katy!

Hi Granny! Today my Mom picked up Katy from the airport. She is visiting me for two days before she moves to New Zealand for a year. They picked me up from school and then we went to see my Dad at work.

He had a lot of work to do, so I decided to help.

It was important for me to make sure all of the paperwork was in order.

I thought Katy might be able to help.

Then my friend Gabby came and I helped her do some stuff.

Tomorrow I get to spend the whole day with Katy! Yay!

I love you, Granny!

Vegas!

Hi Granny! I'm sorry I haven't written in a few days. We went to Las Vegas to see my Godparents, Liz and Bryan. Granny, we stayed at the Venetian - it was just like Italy (so I hear).

We did lots of stuff - hang out by the pool.

Go out to eat.

And go out to eat some more.

I have a sneaking suspicion that my Mom and Dad had more fun than I did, but I have no complaints.

I love you, Granny!

Socks Can Be Food

Hi Granny! I love socks. They are very tasty.

Plus they are really easy to put in my mouth. Look! No hands!

Plus, I can eat one and hold another.

And when my Mom takes my socks away, I can just eat my toes.

I love you, Granny!

Call Me!

Hi Granny! My Dad got me a new cell phone so I was really excited to call you with it.

I was a little afraid that I couldn't remember your phone number.

So I decided to try a few combinations.

I was very annoyed when it didn't work. What kind of phone did my Dad get me?

Well, all was not lost. At least it tastes good.

I love you, Granny!

Goodbye, Dallas

Hi Granny! Well, the Dallas trip is over and I'm very sad, but I did have a great time. Yesterday I played with my awesome cousins.

Then we went to the mall and did a ton of shopping. Granny, this shopping thing sure does seem to run in my family! Here we are in the Nordstrom bathroom after changing my diaper.

Granny, shopping really tired me out. So Aunt Nicole, Sydney and Devon dropped my Mom and me off to take a nap.

When they got back we went to the happy hour at our hotel. Granny, I highly recommend Embassy Suites. They have free breakfast AND free happy hour. I really wanted to try the beer but Aunt Nicole wouldn't let me.

I had to say goodbye this morning. I was really sad and cried a lot on the airplane. It was so great to meet my Aunt Nicole, Sydney and Devon. I love them a lot.

I love you, Granny!

Saturday, October 9, 2010

Hi Granny! I'm updating today with the assistance of my amazing Aunt Nicole! We are in Dallas with Aunt Nicole and my cousins, Sydney and Devon. My mom's playing cards with Sydney and Devon, so Aunt Nicole and I are blogging.

Going on an airplane is no big deal for me now. I'm an old pro! All the people on the plane were, of course, charmed by my exceptional beauty, not to mention my dimple. I think they were a little bit nervous that someone as cute as I would make noise for three hours. But once again, I proved them wrong! Mom brought plenty of stuff for me to do, plus I was excited about meeting Aunt Nicole and Sydney and Devon. There was no time for tantrum throwing.

When we got off the plane, we saw them at the baggage claim area. Granny, I have to be honest... Why would people on the plane be nervous about me when my mom and my aunt acted like complete fools yelling and running and hugging?

Here I am with Sydney. I've heard she's never held a baby before. I find that hard to believe because she's pretty good at it!

It was rush hour when we were done at the airport, so we decided to walk around the mall for a little while. Then we went to our hotel. Devon and I hung out together and got to know each other a little better.

I went to bed like the good girl I am. But I had a surprise in store. I woke up at 5 am. My mom was not happy! Aunt Nicole saved the day, however, and played with me so my mom could go back to sleep. Aunt Nicole always gets up early. We had fun hanging out.

We made some prank phone calls.

And then we had our own little fashion show. This is a sweater Sydney is letting me borrow. Recognize it? You made it!

Those are Aunt Nicole's feet. It was early and she wasn't ready for a photoshoot like I was.

Well, I have to bolt! We have some shopping to do, and everybody is ready to spend some money!!!

Love, Sabrina
