Happy Halloween

Hi Granny!  Happy Halloween!  I started the day celebrating my friend Tanner's birthday with him and Hailey.

Later on my Mom and I carved a pumpkin.  My Mom did the carving and I got to pull all of the seeds and gooey stuff out.

Then it was time to go trick-or-treating.  My first stop?  Marissa's house!

Then my Mom, Daddy and I went to a few more houses.  I was very brave and rang the doorbells, shouted "trick-or-treat" and thanked each person all by myself.

When I got home, I was allowed to pick one treat to eat.  I picked pretzels!

Halloween Party!

Hi Granny!  We had a Halloween party at school today.  We all lined up to walk over to the board room where our moms and dads were.

We all sat in the pumpkin patch while waiting for the fun to begin.

Then it was time to trick-or-treat!

I got to spend some time with good friends.

But then I decided to ditch everyone and start in on my booty.  Pirate's Booty!

Spooktacular

Hi Granny!  Yesterday I woke up, put on my hat and headed to the Los Angeles Zoo for the Halloween Spooktacular.

Once we got there, I immediately had to change into my costume.

If you didn't know, I'm a dancing penguin.

My Aunt Liz met us at the zoo.  She always did her best to make sure I could see all of the animals.

And my Daddy was there in case I got scared.

Or needed to see something way up high.

When we were all done at the zoo, we went to Art's Deli in Studio City.  In case you were wondering, I LOVE potato latkes.

My Friend Hailey

Hi Granny!  I've spent the last two days playing with my friend Hailey.  She is my very best friend (though I think we all know how fickle I can be when it comes to the best friend label).  We played in the sand filling up buckets.

We buried some body parts.

Played a little jump rope (for some reason my Mom didn't trust us enough to jump in and join us).

And we rode a parachute.  It was awesome.

My Friend Tanner

Hi Granny!  This is my friend Tanner.  He and I are very good friends.  I often say "Tanner is my best friend in the whole world."  Though, I also often say the same about my Daddy.  Tanner and I like to do lots of things together like holding hands.

Sharing snacks.

Crawling around the floor.

And going down the slide.

A Little Artwork

Hi Granny!  Not much interesting happened today, so I thought I'd post a couple of my recent artistic accomplishments.  I made this little gem at Denny's while waiting for my scrambled eggs, pancakes and turkey bacon.

This one I made at school.  So, I'm not quite the seamstress you are, Granny, but I'll get there.  At the very least, I'll be better than my Mom.  Heck, I'm already better than my Mom.

I love you, Granny!

Pumpkin Party

Hi Granny!  I really enjoyed my first night in my big girl bed.  That is, until my Mom came in this morning with her camera, taking pictures like the paparazzi.  Seriously, just give me a minute before you start with the flash first thing in the morning.

Today my Mom and I threw a pumpkin decorating party at my school.  We each had our own pumpkin to decorate.

We also did some counting with candy corn.  I grabbed as much as I could when I thought nobody was looking.

Delicious.

Here I am with all of my friends.  What a great day.

Big Girl Bed

Hi Granny!  Today I woke up in my crib for the last time.

Today was the day that I got my big girl bed.  I was so excited!  I even helped my Daddy take my crib apart.

Once it was ready, I just had to test it out.

The best part?  Now my Daddy can snuggle in bed with me.

I love you, Granny!

Pomona Pumpkin Patch

Hi Granny!  Today my Mom, Dad and I went to the Pomona pumpkin patch.  There was so much to do there that I wasn't sure where to start.

I started off with eating.  They had a pancake breakfast, but I was partial to the scrambled eggs.

Then I hugged a tiger.  I'm still not sure what a tiger has to do with pumpkins, but it was pretty cool to see him.

I spent some time on a tractor.  I had originally planned to ride a horse, but once I heard that my Dad couldn't come with me, I bailed.  He and I have been planning to go together for ages and I really didn't want to hurt his feelings.

Then I fed some animals.  That is, I tried to feed the animals.  Granny, those goats, sheep, bunnies and pigs had already been fed by roughly 654 children.  By the time I got there, they weren't interested anymore.

We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin.

This one was the winner.

Then I did a little fishing and it was time to go home.

Where we made Halloween cupcakes.  After all, I AM your granddaughter and know very well that no day is complete without something sweet to eat.

I love you, Granny!

Hello Again

Hi Granny!  I finally convinced my Mom to start this blog back up again.  It took a lot of convincing, but once I reminded her that she never filled anything out in my baby book, I had the upper hand.

Let me catch you up on a few things before we get the ball rolling.  My big news is that I am very close to being a full-time potty user (I quite dislike the term "training" as if someone else is doing the hard work).

I am also a full-time talker.  That is, I talk ALL the time.  My favorite thing right now is asking my Mom "what are you doing?"  Granny, it drives her crazy, so I am sure to do it ALL the time.  Particularly when she is driving.

There is lots more going on, Granny, and I'll be sure to tell you all about it.  I love you, Granny.
